| The world's largest curved-film plasma display in KIX. | ||
The approximately 200-inch screen is 3 meters wide by 4 meters high, making it the world's largest plasma display using curved film. The display was developed by Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture-based Shinoda Plasma Co., Ltd. The display will show content including the "relay of light" of flight routes connecting Kansai with other cities; Kansai Japan, which presents sightseeing spots in Kansai; Dento Geino (meaning "Traditional Performing Arts"), and other displays. |

"Diesel" is a premium and casual apparel brand from Italy. "Abiste" presents high quality and friendly costume jewelry. "Samantha Tavasa"is a bag brand which provides fashionable and trendy items with a wide lineup from casual to elegant. "Miyabi"has plenty of Japanese attractive souvenirs (fancy goods, confectionery, Japanese sake and so on). Due to this renewal, there is an increase in the number of shops in KIX Airside Avenue from 29 to 41 and the passengers' pleasure and options have widened. |

| Additional International Flights in Summer 2010 | ||

Delta will start operating flights between Seattle and KIX. Seattle is the nearest gateway in the Continental USA. With eager expectation, this network will be launched after a wait of 9 years. Cairns (Jetstar Airways) [ April 1~] Jetstar started operating again between Cairns and KIX. Cairns is a popular city for the Great Barrier Reef among Japanese travelers and this network's comeback has been eagerly expected. This flight also increase passengers' convenience progressed in connecting to Ayers Rock (Uluru), etc. Hanoi (Vietnam Airlines) [ July 1~] Vietnam Airlines will have an adding flight between Hanoi and KIX. With a flight that has been already operating, there will now be daily flight. With flights to Ho Chi Minh City, they are useful for business and tourism. Busan (Air Busan) [ April 26~] Air Busan, a remarkable Korean LCC (Low Cost Carrier), started operating a new daily flight between Busan and KIX from 26 April. Busan is the biggest port town in Korea and has a great demand for business and tourism. Singapore via Taipei (Jetstar Asia Airways) [ July 5~] Jetstar Asia Airways, one of the part of the Jetstar group carriers, will start operating a new daily flight between Singapore and KIX via Taipei. This is the first service of Jetstar Asia Airways to Japan. |

| The First Warehouse Completely Temperature Controlled for Only Pharmaceuticals in Japan | ||

This is the first case for an airport in Japan. The warehouse faced the apron is useful to carry pharmaceuticals that need to be treated with care and quickness. It is planning to start using the facility September 30. |
